Brad-DeBerti-#970-Takes-3rd-Place-At-LOORS-59 Brad DeBerti, best known for his quick success in his Pro Lite truck, took 3rd place in the his new Cognito built Production 1000 UTV class racecar. This was Brad’s first time out in his new RZR and he is pleased with the build. “The car is running good. Justin got it tuned in it drives really well” Said DeBerti.

In the UTV class, Brad poled 3rd in qualifying and held the position to take a 3rd place finish. Brad didn’t qualify in the Truck at Glen Helen this time so he started in 15th position but took the win in that class. Brad plans to drive in both the Pro Lite and the Production 1000 UTV classes throughout this year and move into the Pro 4 class next year.

This is what Brad had to say; “The weekend went great! For the first 2 practices I went in the stands to watch the production 1000 class to see where everybody was taking the corners, then on the last two practices I got in my Cognito Motorsports RZR and pulled the fastest lap time on both practices, the transition from my Prolites to the RZR wasn't hard for me.

They are completely different machines, the Prolite is 2 wheel drive with 500hp and the RZR is 4 wheel drive but way narrower and smaller. They both require a completely different driving style and that's what I learned this weekend. We qualified 3rd in the RZR with 2 Yamaha's ahead of me, we also ended up taking 3rd in the race with the same 2 Yamaha's ahead of me.

We were the first RZR across the finish line. I was very surprised with the handling of the RZR, Cognito has fully built and tuned the suspension, and it was perfect. It soaked up everything, and wasn't too stiff or too soft in the corners.

The Prolite I didn't qualify in. I'm running this series in the Prolite for practice. So we started in dead last (15th) place. I ended up taking 1st place in the Prolite. It was a great weekend and I learned a lot with the RZR. I'm stoked to be getting more experience in other race cars that are completely different.”
